CMT Roundup: New Music From Miranda Lambert, Keith Urban with Lainey Wilson, Tracy Lawrence and More

Hear the newest country songs in CMT's playlist The Roundup.

If April showers bring May flowers, they must also bring new songs from country music's biggest stars and most popular up-and-coming acts.

Miranda Lambert, Keith Urban with Lainey Wilson, Megan Moroney, Kameron Marlowe, Jenna Paulette, Tracy Lawrence and more dropped fresh songs this week. You can hear them all on CMT's new music playlist, The Roundup.

Miranda Lambert, "Wranglers": "'Wranglers' is a classic tale of a woman taking her power back," Lambert said. "I think we can all identify with the character in this song because we have all had a time in our life where we needed to find our strength and also get a little revenge on someone who did us wrong or hurt us. This offers such a cool, raging take on how something like this unravels; I think the songwriters nailed it."

Keith Urban, Lainey Wilson, "Go Home W U": "I wrote 'GO HOME W U' in 2020 with BRELAND, Sam (Sumser) and Sean (Small)," said Urban.  "We had a blast writing it.  It started out as a late-night drum loop, I grabbed a bass guitar and started playing a simple recurring bass line.  Before we knew it, we were writing a chorus that could be sung by any drunk person in any bar anywhere in the world."

Lainey Wilson: "Keith has been someone in the industry I've taken notes from for a while now," said Wilson. "From watching him at CMA Fest every year growing up to hearing the way he treats people up and down music row, he has taught me a lot. He's a genuine supporter of mine, and I am honored to continue to learn from one of the best. Getting to do a song with Keith is a notch on my belt I am very proud of."

Megan Moroney, "Indifferent": "I'm so excited about 'Indifferent' - it's the perfect windows down summer anthem about that free feeling when you finally move on from someone or something," Moroney said. "It's not like anything I've ever released… It's more rock sounding but has plenty of pedal steel. Trying new sounds on this project while sticking to my roots has been one of my favorite parts of making this new record. I'm so excited to hear what my fans think!"

Carter Faith, "Strong Stuff": "'Strong Stuff' is basically my going out to the bar and looking to find someone to flirt with theme song.," says Faith. "I'm someone who can be a lot to handle and I'm only into men who like it that way."

Zach Seabaugh, "Told You So": "I wrote 'Told You So' with my friends Austin Goodlowe and Khal Yassein. It's a fun song about when you first meet someone and know you want to be with them," says Seabaugh.  "You are hoping ya end up together so you can say told you so!"

Lauren Watkins, "Mama, I Made It": "I've been dying for y'all to hear this one," Watkins said. "Hope ya love it."

Julia Cole, "Tequila Helps": "I wrote this song after a great friend forced me to get out of bed, take a shot, put makeup and a cute outfit on, and spend an entire night out dancing instead of crying about my called off engagement. I'll be forever thankful for her…and the liquid courage," Cole said. "'Tequila Helps' will help you start healing after a breakup. If you've tried praying and every other trick in the book but still can't stop thinking about the heartache, a sip of Reposado might deserve a shot."

Tracy Lawrence, "Pretty Dang Good": "I've never done anything like it," Lawrence told Whiskey Riff. "I love the opening line, 'Some days you're chicken, some days you're feathers.' It's just so different from anything I ever considered myself doing but I love the groove of it and it's fun to sing…I haven't done a lot of songs like this throughout my career. I've always been more of a serious artist, heartbreak songs, crying in your beer kind of stuff. So this will be something a little bit different. I love singing it live, it's a really fun song to sing."

Kameron Marlowe, "On My Way Out": "When I first heard this song, it resonated with me on a deeper level," Marlowe said. "As I've gotten older, I started to realize how special our time is on this earth and to never take these moments for granted. This song helps remind me to slow down and remember how much I have to be thankful for and all the things I still want to do before my time is up."

Jenna Paulette, "Hang Your Hat": "I wrote this one with Jim Beavers, Rhett Akins and Smith Ahnquist…Smith had the idea and I loved it," Paulette wrote on Instagram. "The feel came from wanting something in the vein of George Strait's 'Adelaida' —just up tempo, fun and easy listening. The way the hook landed made it mean something more to me than a simple feel-good song. 'I got a heart you can hang your hat on.' Saying to someone you love, 'Hey you can depend on me, I'll be there in every way. I'll be your safe place, the kiss you can have anytime you want—our home will be a warm safe comfort to you when you need it most…" That's where I'm at in life—and I've got someone that gave me a safe place to call home, so I'm giving him the comfort that comes with that and a heart he can trust."

Brennley Brown, "Miracle Story": “My hope for this song is that it will be a reminder that no matter what you’re facing, God has already gone before to make a way where there seems to be no way and write a miracle story like only He can,” said Brown. "For every person still in the waiting, don’t lose heart. He’s not finished yet and is taking all things from broken to beautiful.”

Logan Crosby, "2019": “2019 was the year I graduated from high school and went to college," Crosby said. "That was the first time I ever left Milledgeville, took my guitar out and started playing for people I didn’t know. It was the beginning of the whole journey for me as an artist.”

Albums out today:

Adeem the Artist, "Anniversary": "This one feels a lot more personal and earnest…a lot of it is very close to the chest," Adeem says. "This record is a marker as well as a collection of individual markers. I'm saying, 'This is who I am as an artist and this is the world I want to try to help create.'"
